The Lord Hears

“To You, Lord, I call; You are my Rock; do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if You remain silent, I will be like those who go down to the pit.” Psalm 28:1 NIV

We are reminded over and over in scripture that God hears the cries of His people. “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.” Psalm 34:17 (NIV) “In my distress I called to the Lord; I called out to my God. From His temple, He heard my voice; my cry came to His ears.” 2 Samuel 22:7 (NIV) “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayer.” I Peter 3:12 (NIV) “In the morning, Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait expectantly.” Psalm 5:3 (NIV) “Know that the Lord has set apart His faithful servant for Himself; the Lord hears when I call to Him.” Psalm 4:3 (NIV) “But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.” Micah 7:7 (NIV) My God does not turn a deaf ear to me. He hears every cry that comes out from my mouth and every prayer that is in my heart. Thank You, Jesus, that I can know You will answer when I call. The answer may not come in the way or the time that I want, but I am assured that You hear and will respond to me.
